New York, New York!

In August Byron's sister Nicol and Felix said they would like to come up and spend a weekend with the kids - and that we should take advantage and get away for the weekend! We have not spent a weekend away from the kids in 3 years - since our 20th anniversary cruise! So we started talking about what we could do.

We finally decided on flying out to New York! I have wanted to visit New York since I was a little girl and was so excited! It was everything I had dreamed of, but even better!

We arrived on the night of Thursday, Sept. 30th. The next morning we headed out to explore the city!

St. Patrick's Cathedral:

Magnificent inside and out!

I had to take a picture of Trump Tower for our BIG Trump fan:

It was October 1st - Byron's birthday. Luis Vutton was celebrating, too.

Our first stop was Central Park.

The Whisper Bench. If you sit on one site of the massive bench and whisper, someone on the other side can hear you. We had to check it out! I whispered, "Happy birthday, handsome." It made him blush.

I felt like Alice in Wonderland finally getting to see NYC!

Cleopatra's Needle is an Obelisk made around 1425 BC in Cairo Egypt. It is one of two Obelisks commissioned by Pharaoh Thutmose III. It was moved to Central Park in 1881. It is amazing!

Belvedere Castle:

The Shakespeare Garden was one of my favorite parts of the park.

Byron was really excited about the Ghostbuster buildings:

Strawberry Fields:

Bethesda Fountain:

A foreign movie was being filmed at the fountain:

Bethesda Terrace:
