Gabe's First Baseball Game!!

Last weekend Rachel and Will (Uncle Yev to Gabe and Selah) came up for a few days. We had so much fun with them! Saturday morning Byron and Will went golfing and Rachel, the kids and I went to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and Natural History and caught an Omni movie. Then that evening Byron and Will took Gabe to his first ever baseball game to see the Rangers play. They went early enough to watch the players practice and Gabe got a ball! I guess there was a foul ball that came right to them and the guy next to Gabe reached over and grabbed it and then gave it to him. He slept with the ball that night and spent most of the next day in nothing but his boxers and Ranger's cap holding his baseball. Soooo cute! Thank you, Will for catching this precious picture!!!

Vacation Bible School

This week Gabe has been attending Preschool Vacation Bible School and has LOVED it! When I pick him up he is ready to tell me all of the fun stuff he has done.

Gabe really loved his teacher's helper, Ms. Bailey, and talked about her all week.
I am so thankful for the teachers and workers who put this together. I know this week really touched Gabe's heart. He is already talking about next year's VBS!!

7 months...

We are starting the 3rd Trimester!! Yay! Every month I prop my camera up on the bathroom counter and take a picture of my growing belly. This month, Selah needed her belly shot done, too!!

Here I am, 7 months pregnant. Let the countdown begin!

So sweet! Hope she always is a good big sister...

Soon we will get the belly and the whole family together for some pics.

Happy Cow Appreciation Day!!

July 9th was Cow Appreciation Day!! On that day, if you dress as a cow and go into Chick-fil-A, you get free food....and I'm not talking a little food sample. You get whatever you want absolutely free!! So, I took this as an opportunity for cheap family fun - which I am ALL about! I ironed spots on some of the kiddos' white t-shirts, bought some black hats for all of us at the Dollar Tree and used the cow print outs at the Chick-fil-A web site to decorate them and then we proudly wore our cow costumes to Chick-fil-A - not once - but TWICE! Selah had her 24 month doctor's appointment that morning and had to have a shot, so we put on our hats afterwards and headed over for free brunch - you know - to cheer her up. Then, we met Daddy for dinner. Now, Chick-fil-A isn't gluten-free, but we let that slip this once and just had FUN!!

Our little calves - can you hear them "Moo-ing"?

So happy for Chick-fil-A!!

The kids each had a Kid's Meal, Byron got a Chick-fil-A Sandwich meal and I had a Chicken Salad Sandwich meal. For brunch, Gabe had a fruit cup and Selah and I shared a yogurt parfait. All totally free - if you haven't done this - look out for it next year! The people that work at Chick-fil-A are sooooo nice and helpful - both times they went above and beyond to help us have a great experience!!

Our "herd".

Our Very Own Tinker Bell

If you haven't guessed by now, Selah is a bit Tinker Bell obsessed. GiGi and PopPop gave her this adorable costume for her birthday. When she put it on last night, I just had to do a little impromptu photo session....

Selah is 2 cute!!

Selah turned 2 on Tuesday!! I can't believe what a big girl she has become! She is a joy and a blessing to all of us!!

Birthday Celebrations!!!

While in Central Texas, we had birthday celebrations for Selah's 2nd Birthday! It has become a Serna Family Tradition to celebrate birthdays at Casa Ole - so Friday night we headed over for some yummy Tex-Mex and Serna time!
Here is the Cousin Table:
Selah LOVES it when we are at a restaurant and the servers come out to sing to the Birthday person - so we had to have them do it for her - Look how excited she is!!

Such a big dessert for such a little girl!

MMMMMmmmmmm!!!

The next day we had a little Tinker Bell party at GiGi's house. The cake was a joint effort - I made the gluten-free chocolate cake, GiGi decorated it, and Rachel served it! It was soooo
yummy!!

The pinata was so much fun - it is a pull-string pinata. Good thing, I think if we started beating Tinker Bell with a stick, Selah would be mortified!!

Gift Time~!

Some of the guests...

Finally the cake she had been eyeing since breakfast!

A week with GiGi and PopPop...

The kids and I spent last week with GiGi and PopPop in Belton, Texas. We had so much fun! Some highlights included a play date with the Evan's children, lots of time with GiGi, PopPop, Memaw and Papaw, Uncle John and Aunt Louise, and Selah's first big screen movie - Toy Story 3D!
This is a picture of Selah and Gabe joining PopPop in his weekend paper reading - they are using thier 3D glasses as reading glasses!
This is Papaw, Uncle John and Justin. These 3 have served in 3 different wars, in 3 different branches of the military - Air Force, Navy and Army. Justin and his sister Katy (my cousins) were able to make it down for a visit and lunch - and while they were there, we were able to shower Katy with a few gifts for the blessing she will be getting in August - a baby girl!!

Bunk Beds!!!

In preparation of our newest baby, we bought bunk beds. For the first time, Gabe and Selah will be sharing a room. They LOVE their new beds and play so well in thier room together. I am working on some VeggieTales decoartions per their request. Here they are enjoying thier bunks!!
