The Pumpkin Patch 2018

October has been so rainy for us here in Texas! Luckily, before they rainy weather really started, we were able to take our annual trip out to the pumpkin patch and as a bonus - the triplets (and Rachel and  Will) went with us!

Everyone is growing so big!

Here is a comparison of last year (on the left) to this year (on the right) of our kids:

Look how much Gabe has grown!!

Selah did some growing, too!

 Big kids:

The hay maze is always a big hit!

Such a cute bunch of kiddos!

I think this scarecrow might just keep the birds away:

Always a fun way to kick off the fall season!

Mig is EIGHT!

Eight years old!! How can it be?

Mig is growing into such a sweet boy.

He is the comic of the family and loves to make everyone laugh.

He also loves to laugh and it seems when something tickles his funny bone, it just erupts through his body into a roar of laughter.

He is rough and tumble and still oh, so mischievous.

But he also has a sweet, sweet side. He loves cuddles and still spends the first few moments of each day in my lap.

He is smart and especially good at math.

He loves loud noises, sweets, pizza, macaroni and cheese, climbing trees, video games, collecting Pokemon cards and his momma.

Happy 8th birthday, little man! Your family loves you!!

Forty Rocks!!

Byron turned the big FOUR-OH on October 1st.

He was very excited! HA!

This is more like it:

The kids and I invited some of his friends over for a BIG Celebration!

We decorated in red and black and with old records and pictures of Byron through the years.

Our friends the Linns introduced us to the game "Fishbowl" where you put random things, people and places into a bowl and each person takes a turn pulling out a strip of paper and describing the word without saying the word. The kids came up with words that had something to do with Byron. There were words like 1978, Scott and White, Temple, TX, Baylor U., Hospital, October, names of friends and family, etc.

Then we had a disco ball dance party!

Byron took the day of his birthday off from work.

Do you think he knew what his present was?!?

Can't fool this guy!

I had reached out to friends and family on Facebook and asked them to shower him with cards(it was supposed to be hidden from Byron, but the hide button apparently doesn't really work on Facebook). Here he is with a big stack of birthday wishes:

So many sweet cards from so many sweet friends!

We are so thankful for this guy and that we get to celebrate him!!
