Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

The Birth of Jesus: Luke 2:1-20

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Little Elm Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting

At the beginning of December every year, our town has a parade of lights and then lights the Christmas tree.

Before the parade we went to Fuzzy's to eat. It was delicious and filling. When we were done, we just walked out of the restaurant and sat on the side of the road to wait for the parade.

Daddy's favorite was a set of Doloreans - just like Back to the Future.

Some floats threw candy and prizes!

The tree lighting is very cool. As the tree is lit, fireworks go off all around it.

Then there is an even bigger firework display over the lake.

We were so happy that our cousin, Emily, and her friend, Rylee, were able to come with us!

I loved the whole evening!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Love, Mig

Thanksgiving 2019

Our last Thanksgiving of the decade was one to remember!!

This year we decided that instead of cooking a cleaning up a big Thanksgiving meal, we would go to Cracker Barrel and let them do it for us!

While waiting, PopPop challenged Mig to checkers.

Our meal was SO GOOD!! The kids were happy to not have to have turkey and dressing. None of them ordered the Thanksgiving plate! Ha!! It was busy at Cracker Barrel, but not too bad.

That evening Amanda and Brian joined us for a meat and cheese plate and pies. We watched the Cowboys lose to the Patriots (boo!) and then played a hilarious Game of Things.

The next evening we went to the Serna/Froese/Guzman house. We had a LOUD game of Heads Up.

Then we celebrated the 3 birthdays that are always close to Thanksgiving.

We ate Fajitas and had a great time together!

Brittany and Dustin had to leave early. So above is Nick and Brandy, their youngest, Emily and Brittany and Dustin's kiddos Bella and Ethan.

Oh, those Froese boys!

 Selah loves Bella!!

What a fun Thanksgiving with SO MUCH to be thankful for!

Gabe turned 14 on November 23. Like Faith, he also wanted to open gifts right away!

Aunt Jackie creates the best cards!!

Gabe is definitely looking like a teenager instead of a young kid now!

Gabe requested BJ's and a pizzookie for dinner. He has the best smile ever!!
