15 Weeks

Gabe and I read this week that the baby is now as big as an apple...

At my doctor's appointment yesterday we got to see the baby and recieved some GREAT news! I had been diagnosed with Placenta Previa at 11 weeks and the ultrasound showed that the placenta has shifted and it is no longer an issue!! The baby looks great - we were able to see it's hands, feet, legs, head, face - so neat! Here are some pictures of the baby the doctor was able to capture:
"Hi" everyone!

We have another ultrasound on May 14th.
25 weeks until we meet our newest addition! We are so excited!

Botanical Gardens

We visited the Botanical Gardens this weekend. It was beautiful - perfect weather and so lovely. Here are some pictures of our visit:

Are they not the cutest kids ever?!?

Where's Selah???

Baylor Medical Lab Week Picnic

Baylor hosted a picnic at Lake Arlington. It was windy, a little chilly, but so fun! The kids had a blast with sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and yummy picnic food!

Nothing says "picnic" like a good slice of watermelon!

Egg Drop Contest

At Papa Serna's house we had and "Egg Drop Contes" this year. We provided various materials to the kids and gave them 30 minutes to use the supplies to protect a raw egg from an 8 foot drop. It was so much fun!!

Papa Serna getting into the spirit of Easter!

A little bit of sibling rivalry - I guess! This is Nicol - Byron's sister.

All the kids with thier egg protectors.

Byron doing the drops...

Only one egg cracked! They did a great job using thier resourses to protect the eggs.

Opps - cracked egg on the sidewalk.....

My brother-in-law, Jeff, decided that all the eggs that didn't break could be thrown at the brick that he is holding....hmmmm....don't know if that was such a great idea...

His oldest son got a bit confused by the instructions and just went for Jeff's face!! Jeff wasn't too happy!!

Egg on the face is not very flattering.....

But it makes for great memories! HA! What a fun time!

Egg hunt

We had 150 filled eggs to hunt at Papa Sernas house.

That evening we headed over to celebrate PopPop's birthday!

Mmmmmm....Chips and Salsa!

On Sunday morning, PopPop gave all the ladies in the family that would be attending the Easter Service corsages. Even Selah!

April Fools' Day

I am so excited that Gabe is getting old enough to appreciate my corny humor! I couldn't wait until April Fools' Day this year - I had found this great recipe (gluten-free!!) to make "cupcakes" for dinner. The surprise was they were really meatloafs baked in foil cupcake holders and "iced" with mashed potatoes died with food coloring!
Yum!!

Gabe thought it was GREAT! Even though they weren't the cupcakes he was anticipating! FUN!!
