42 Already?!?

I turned 42 on Good Friday this year. Byron was able to take off of work and we had homemade macaroni and cheese and Nothin Bundt Cake for dessert before we went to Good Friday Service where I served on the Worship Team.

On Saturday we all went to a Dine-In Movie to see The Secrets of Dumbledore.

So thankful to celebrate another year!

Easter 2022

Easter 2022 was a lot of fun!

We went to church and then came home to eat a ham dinner.

After dinner we did an Easter Egg hunt where each kid had their own colored eggs to hunt along with one golden egg.

3 of the gold eggs had dollar bills and one of them had a 5 dollar bill. Mig got the $5!

After the egg hunt the kids did a confetti egg war.

Afterwards we had Easter Egg games! 1st one up was EGGPUT - like shotput but shooting plastic eggs from our mouths.

Byron won!

Then we did 2 spoon races.

1 - balance the spoon and race -

2 - roll eggs with spoons

4th game- bounce the egg on the bottom of a plastic basket to the finish line

5th game - balance an egg on your head while throwing eggs at your opponents to try to knock their eggs off.

6th game - Use the spoon as a catapult.

We did the last game inside - spin an egg on the floor - last egg still spinning wins!

It was a very enjoyable Easter!!

Prom? Yes or No?

Selah was invited to prom with one of the boys from her Worldview class!

Their class meets in a coffee shop and he brought her favorite drink from there and spelled her name the way that they do there. Super sweet!

BUT - we only had one week to shop for a dress.

We ended up finding one she LOVED!

The Serna boys knew just how to send her off....

Isn't she gorgeous?!?

Her favorite thing was her shoes, though.

His mom is one on praise team with me! She is super sweet, too.

They had an amazing time! I am so thankful that she had this opportunity!

Spring Break

We had a FUN Spring Break. Our new nephew, Joel, came to visit for the last part of the week. We played games, hung out on the back porch, and did a campfire.

We also went down to Fort Worth to watch the cattle drive.

It was windy and COLD!

How CUTE is this dog!

There were about a dozen cows that trotted through the stockyards.

Then we watched an Old West Shootout.

We strolled the Stockyards a little.

We met up with the Linn's while we were there for lunch.
