Meet Hooty!

On Monday, November 13, we were given the best gift ever!

My sweet friend, Darah, was needing a new home for her pug, Hooty. She is a flight attendant and just couldn't be home enough to care for him. She and her mom were praying for a home for him with children and owners that are able to be home a lot.

We have been considering getting another dog and so Sunday, while the kids were in AWANA, Byron and I went to meet Hooty. He won Byron over with his great personality and good behavior and so Monday morning Darah brought Hooty to our house and got to surprise Mig, Selah and Faith with him.

Hooty is 6 years old and big for a pug! 33 pounds!

He doesn't need a lot of entertainment and just wants to be in the room with his people.

He makes us smile and laugh and is such a great companion!

We are SO happy to be his new family and home!

Roanoke Veteran's Day Parade

Mig's CAP Squadron was invited to participate in the Roanoke Veteran's Day parade.

Mig is part of the Color Guard and is a Rifle Guard.

The Color Guard started the entire parade!

Mig looked so handsome in his dress blue uniform!

They did an amazing job keeping in step!

Byron and I were filled with pride for Mig as he served this way!

What an honor!

We got to meet a friendly dog.

And there was also a car show as part of the event!

It was a great day!
