Student Choir Tour Days 2-4

The next day we arrived at the church at noon to travel to load the buses and travel to our first stop. Not even 1 hour into the drive, we on bus 1 started hearing complaints of the a/c on bus 2 not working. We added some of the kids from their bus onto ours to try to help the a/c keep up.

We arrived at Greenwood, Arkansas that evening, ate dinner and then had a sound check at the church we would perform at the next morning.

Day 3 was Sunday, June 12. We sang at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, Arkansas' 3 morning services.

The church provided lunch and then we loaded up the buses to head to Kansas for the night. Bus 2 still had a bad a/c. At around 4:30 that afternoon the a/c on bus 1 completely died! Our temps got over 100 degrees and we started to stink!!

We stopped for dinner at 6:30 and bus 1 went down the road another 30 minutes to try to get repaired. After an hour or so, we all met in the parking lot to wait on the bus. We waited and waited and waited. The kids started line dancing, giving each other swing dance lessons, playing ball games and whatever they could to pass the time. Finally we gathered them and had an impromptu talent show. We left the parking lot around 10:30pm and arrived at our hotel at around 1:30 am. Then it was lights out!

We were supposed to leave Kansas at 7am the next morning and be at Boulder, CO by noon to go hiking, but we decided to forgo the hiking and leave late. We were back on the road by 10:00 am. We traveled the rest of the day and arrived at our next hotel in Glendale, CO that evening. We all got to bed early to be ready for our next performances.
