Mig is Two!!

Two years ago today, our little Mig joined our family, though it seems like just last week! I can't believe how quickly time passes when you are a Momma!

Byron has called Mig "Sport" from the time we brought him home from the hospital - and it has been almost prophetic! Mig is the most active of the three and a true sports fan. He especially loves football!

I love to tell people the story of how Mig was not an easy baby in the least! He would scream every night from the time he was around 4 weeks old until he was about 5 months old for a few hours. Every. Night. We tried everything. Nursing more, special holds, laying him on his belly, taking him out on the patio for fresh air - everything. Then, one Monday night, Byron turned on Monday Night Football and held Mig against his chest facing out. The minute Mig saw the tv he stopped crying. During commercials he would cry, but when the game was back on, he would stop again. Yeah- we recorded that game and became football fans fast! I don't know if it was the noise of the crowd, the green of the field, or what it was that Mig liked, but it worked.

He still LOVES football. In fact, all he wants for his birthday this year is "Football Cake". He is also a Dallas Cowboys fan and gets really excited just to see Jason Garrett (the Cowboys Head Coach) on the news. He also recognizes Tony Romo and is known to cheer "Go, Cowboys" during football games, whether or not the Cowboys are playing.

Besides being a football fan, Mig is a sweet brother. He loves to give "Bubba" and "Sissa" hugs and kisses. He still has that quiet, yet goofy sense of humor and will often have us all laughing. He is FULL of mischief and curiosity and always keeps me on my toes. Overall, we are so blessed to have him in our family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIG!!!
