Byron's Birthday

We celebrated Byron's birthday last week by driving out to Parker, Texas to see Southfork Ranch! As we drove up, I played the Dallas theme song on my phone. Can you hear it?!?

Byron has great memories of watching the prime-time soap opera, Dallas, with his parents growing up. When the show came on again in the winter, he was so excited. I watched the new show with him and am a fan! I decided it would be a fun thing to do for Byron's big day and it turned out to be a lot of fun! Dallas is filmed there at the ranch and also at a studio in south Dallas. At the ranch you can go on a tour where they show you where different scenes have been shot and let you in on a few of the secrets of the tv magic they use on the show.

After the tour, you can take as long as you want to stroll the grounds, take pictures, even have lunch at Miss Elli's Deli!

There are a few museums and JR's 1978 Lincoln is on display.

I have a lot more pictures to share...just have to find the time to go through them!

At the end of the day, we had homemade spaghetti and Tres Leches Cake! The birthday boy enjoyed his day!
