Forty Rocks!!

Byron turned the big FOUR-OH on October 1st.

He was very excited! HA!

This is more like it:

The kids and I invited some of his friends over for a BIG Celebration!

We decorated in red and black and with old records and pictures of Byron through the years.

Our friends the Linns introduced us to the game "Fishbowl" where you put random things, people and places into a bowl and each person takes a turn pulling out a strip of paper and describing the word without saying the word. The kids came up with words that had something to do with Byron. There were words like 1978, Scott and White, Temple, TX, Baylor U., Hospital, October, names of friends and family, etc.

Then we had a disco ball dance party!

Byron took the day of his birthday off from work.

Do you think he knew what his present was?!?

Can't fool this guy!

I had reached out to friends and family on Facebook and asked them to shower him with cards(it was supposed to be hidden from Byron, but the hide button apparently doesn't really work on Facebook). Here he is with a big stack of birthday wishes:

So many sweet cards from so many sweet friends!

We are so thankful for this guy and that we get to celebrate him!!
