Austin and Salado

While we were in Belton, Adrik had a race in Austin, so we drove down to watch!

Adrik's fan section:

Little racer - it is called quarter midget racing. He is pretty good!!
He led this race for most of the laps, until another car wrecked him and he couldn't finish the race.

After the race, we stopped in Salado to find La Serena...the mermaid statue. She has been moved since we lived in the area, but we were able to find her.

There is a new art piece near La Serena. It is called Locks of Love and couples can leave their lock hanging on the chain just like in Paris.

We put our feet in the creek - which was so refreshing!

It is such a peaceful and picturesque spot. Thank you, Selah for these sweet pictures.

Everyone had such a fun time in Salado and Austin!
