A Trip to Belton!

 

Last weekend we took a weekend trip to Belton to spend some time with family!!

Hooty came along. He is so good on car trips! He mainly sleeps at the passenger's feet.

My sister, Amanda, got an amazing promotion, but with it comes a move to Pittsburgh, so we wanted to get everyone together before she leaves. Joel is staying in Houston to finish his degree and Brian is staying for 18 months until he gets to retire! 

When we are at GiGi and PopPop's house we take Hooty on neighborhood walks. He loves them! 

BUT, he can't quite make it around the block without having to stop for a rest. HA!

The deer are usually out for a walk, too. Hooty pays them no attention. And they just watch him curiously. 

We had a great morning Kayaking on Belton Lake!

And had lunch at the Mexican Restaurant next to the office where Dad Serna worked for many years. 

It was July 11th, so of course, we had to get our free Slurpee!

The kids got a quick hotel swim in. 

We had a cookout at Nana's house with Amanda's mom and step-dad (who we LOVE)!

And we ended our visit with a delicious meal from one of our favorite Central Texas restaurants - Dynasty Buffet! Gabe found a piano and wrote a new composition on the spot and GiGi was the first to hear it!  

It was a FUN and FILLED weekend!
