Last Day of School Year 2018-2019

May 31st was the last day of May and our last day of school for the year!!

We started the day with donuts:

We took our celebratory last day pictures:

Such a cute class I have!

We spent the last day of school preparing for our end of year presentations for Principal Daddy.

Faith made a lapbook of the book Charlotte's Web.

Mig did a report on Edgar Allen Poe.

He then recited Poe's poem "The Bells" while playing bells.

Selah gave a report on the invention of airplanes.

Gabe presented a report on the back story of history's scariest villian, Hitler.

For our group project, we studied Native American Indian groups.

The kids painted this background and performed a play based on a Totem Pole found in Washington.

The play is called "Pushing Up the Sky". Here they are pushing the sky up so that kids and balls won't get stuck up there.

Curtain call!

Below is a YouTube video of their play.

I presented a few certificates for math skills.

Then Principal Dad presented their Certificates of Promotion to the next grade level.

The newest Serna second grader:

4th Grader:

7th Grader:

And our first high schooler!!! Can you believe it?!? He is holding up 4 fingers for the 4 more years he has before graduation.

It was a fun and busy year!!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!
