Halloween 2014

Halloween night is one of my favorite nights! I love that the kids plan their outfits and then are so excited to wear them out to trick-or-treat! I also love that for me it signals the beginning of the holiday season. Just four weeks later is Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year's....but I start getting excited at Halloween!

This year, Mig was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (Raphael), Gabe was Obi Won Kanobi, and Selah was Sofia the First. (If you have no clue who Sofia the First is, you probably don't have any girls under 8 at home. Sofia is a newish show on the Disney Channel. She is a regular village girl who's mom marries the king, making her royalty over night....but she remains humble and polite. Selah loves Sofia, mostly because she has brown wavy hair and brown eyes - just like Selah.)

When Daddy got home, Mig changed from a mask to face paint! Thanks, Dad!

We had pizza for dinner and then headed out to trick-or-treat.

After trick-or-treating, the kids checked out their (large) candy loot while watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

As far as an adoption update...no news yet! We are waiting on our Travel Approval - which could come any day now. Once it is here we will start making travel plans. Hoping and praying our Travel Approval comes soon!! We are really hoping to be going to China at the end of this month.
