On our first day at the Grand Canyon we woke up to elk roaming the RV park.
We headed to the canyon pretty early that morning and then walked the Rim Trail. The views were mind blowing!
We pretty much stayed behind rails and back from the edge, though there were quite a few dare devils venturing out near the edge.
We headed back to the camper for lunch and a little rest. Then we took the Desert View drive to see the canyon from some different look out points.
We tried to go to the watch tower, but it was closed because of COVID.
We ended the day back at the Rim Trail to watch the sunset.
Another daredevil. Our hearts lept out of our chests watching him jump to the edge of this small rock then try to make it back without any rock climbing gear or equipment. Not a good idea.
What a memorable day spent at the Grand Canyon South Rim.
