Welcome 2025!!!

We always have THE most fun on New Year's Eve and this year was no exception!

We made home-made pizza, played our crazy games, and stayed up to watch the ball drop.

Again, the boys won our games - but we all had so much fun!!! You can watch our fun video below:

Christmas 2024

Christmas 2024 was one for the books!!

We spent Christmas Eve at church where I got the privilege of singing on Worship Team!

We had a relaxing morning. When everyone was awake the kids opened gifts from Santa.

Hooty loved the gift opening!

We had a yummy biscuit and gravy breakfast and then opened more gifts. We played games and had smoked ribs for lunch.

It was really a pleasant Christmas!!

Christmas Concerts

The past few weekends have been filled with music. Faith and the Middle School choir sang at our local mall last weekend.

And Mig, Selah and the Student (High School) choir sang on at the Denton Courthouse lawn this weekend.

This was Mig's first experience with doing high school choreography. He did pretty good!!

They were both amazing concerts bringing Christ's message of hope, peace and joy out to our community!

Plano Regional 20th Anniversary Celebration featuring The Sernas!

Our family was asked to provide music for Plano Regional Hospital's 20th Anniversary Celebration! It was a Wizard of Oz/Christmas theme and so we all wore outfits that gave a nod to one of the Wizard of Oz Characters.

We performed selections from Twisters, The Wiz, Wicked and The Wizard of Oz as well as some fun Christmas numbers. It was a FUN evening!! We were able to get a few songs on video - enjoy them below!!

Thanksgiving 2024

Mig and I started Thanksgiving by doing the Downtown Denton Turkey Trot 5K!

There were so many Dentonites that participated!!! It was a fun way to start the day!

Gigi and PopPop came up and we ate a beautiful Turkey dinner with sides by each of the kids.

We all watched a PUG win the dog show for the first time ever and then we cheered the Cowboys on as they FINALLY won a game on their own turf.

Hooty even wore a special Thanksgiving outfit!

It was a great day and we have so much to be thankful for!!

Celebrating Faith

We don't do yearly birthday parties in our family. We celebrate birthdays, of course, but actual parties with friends and food and decorations, we save for big birthdays. 13 is a big birthday! So Faith had a part this year and she chose a tie dye party!

It was so much fun to plan!

She had colorful food to share with friends.

And of course they all tie dyed t-shirts.

It was so sweet to see her friends celebrate her.

On her actual birthday she opened gifts.

And chose to have a pancake dinner.

I hope she felt super special on her big day!!
