Choir Tour Part 3 - Homecoming!

After a few days in Denver we went back to Colorado Springs before coming back to Texas.

Mig did not want to come on tour, but by the end of tour he said he would have missed out if he didn't come and is ready to go back on tour next year. That is after throwing up on the bus on day 1 from a migraine and getting a bad case of altitude sickness on the last day in Colorado!

Each year Andy LaValley gives a scholarship for the youngest  kid on tour to come. Two of my kids have gotten that scholarship!

Our last detention center was in Amarillo, TX. The choir brought the house down there!

And Mig even started smiling!

We headed back to Denton on Saturday and then did our Homecoming Concert of Father's Day.

On the last day of tour Fruit of the Spirit awards were give out to two exceptional girls and two guys. Selah was chosen as one of the girls! She was recognized at the concert.

The concert always ends with all of the past Student Choir members joining on stage to sing "O Happy Day".

You can watch that final song and a few other clips from the concert here:

I was Choir Mama to these sweet girls all week:

AND had the sweetest roommate EVER!

Mig made a lot of friends and according to Liam (below), stole a lot of hearts. :)

It was an incredible week! I am SO blessed to be a part of it!!!

Choir Tour Part 2

In Denver, CO we sang at at least 2 Detention Centers each day. We saw hearts moved for Jesus!

And our own choir grew closer to the Lord in their own lives!

One day we went to the park in Aurora and Uncle Mike and his friend Cindy were able to have lunch with us there!

Duke was there

AND his friend Tiny Tator Tot!

I LOVED catching up with Uncle Mike!

There is no doubt that God uses this tour in many ways to touch many people's lives!

Choir Tour 2025 Part 1

Choir Tour 2025 was amazing!!

We started off in our own hometown at the Denton County Juvenile Detention Center on Friday.

Selah recited the Apostles Creed for our program.

On Saturday we traveled to Colorado Springs. On Sunday morning we did a concert at a Juvenile Treatment Center.

And in the afternoon we sang at a Prayer Garden.

Monday was a fun day and a day to travel to Denver. Before leaving Colorado Springs we hiked at the Garden of the Gods.

The choir even sang there!

And that was just the first few days!!

Taco 'Bout a Grad Party!

We had a Taco party the day after graduation to celebrate Selah!

There was a GREAT turn out! And we served SO MANY tacos - and still had so many left over!

It was so sweet to see so many come to love on our girl and celebrate with her!

Our dad friends Chuck and Jason:

Megan "Momma" Hoffman from Student Choir.

Selah's sweet friends Noel and Caitlyn:

Of course GiGi and PopPop came and were such proud grandparents!

Our mom friends Gina and Ruth:

And sweet, sweet Kathie and David Miller who are like grandparents to our kids. They were just about to celebrate their anniversary so I snapped a few portraits for them.

And of course, the proudest there were her Daddy and me!!!

She received some thoughtful gifts and cards.

Her Aunt Nicol was so super excited to hear that she will be studying Developmental Psychology! She gave her some supplies and books that will come in handy!

And she got a lot of Starbucks gift cards!

So fun to celebrate Selah!!
