Pumpkin Carving

GiGi decided to buy Gabe and Selah little pumpkins to carve. They had so much fun! Rachel and Daddy helped. They were both very proud of their Jack-O-Lanterns!

We roasted the seeds that afternoon, too! Mmmmmm!

Aunt Rachel - she really loved getting all goopey!

So fun!

In Texas...

We have moved back to Texas! We got here on October 14th...Byron has a new job as one of the Laboratory Managers at Baylor All Saints Medical Hospital. We are very excited about this new opportunity! Here we are stretching our legs as we crossed into Texas.

The Cutlass

Byron has wanted a muscle car to restore for as long as I have known him. His desire is even greater no that Gabe is big enough to start helping. After searching Craigslist for months, dreaming, Byron found a deal he just couldn't pass up. So here is Byron's new project car - and Gabe thinks it is the coolest thing ever!

The engine is good, the outside needs a little work - but the inside is gutted. So Gabe and Byron have their work cut out for them - but a LOT of father/son memories to make!!

The Mine in Cripple Creek

While GiGi and PopPop were here we went to the Mine in Cripple Creek! It was a lot of fun! You pile into this elevator shaft and ride it 1,000 feet below ground. Then a tour guide tells you all about mining. Unfortunately, when it was time to go back above ground, the elevator wasn't working. We ended up being stuck down there for an extra 15 or 20 minutes and Gabe had to pee! It was obvious that he could hold it no longer when the dancing started - so the tour guide took him around the corner to a tunnel that wasn't being used and let him go! When we finally made it back above ground, GiGi and PopPop bought Gabe a button that says "I went 1,000 feet underground". HA! He sure "went" all right!
Preparing to go into the mine.
On our way home. One tired little miner!!

The North Pole

On Selah's birthday we went to the North Pole - a Christmas themed amusement park geared toward smaller kids. It was so much fun!! GiGi and PopPop came with us as well as my Aunt Susie and her grandkids - Devin and Zander. The best thing was that Gabe was able to ride most of the rides - and he tried them all!
Daddy and Gabe on the World's Highest Ferris Wheel!
This Rocket went so fast! Gabe held on with all of his might and kept his head down the entire time. But when it stopped, he was ready to go again!

Gabe and Zander being Firemen!

Devin and I spinning like crazy!

This was Selah's favorite! It is this HUGE winding slide - she would giggle the whole way down!

PopPop and Devin driving the mini cars.

Memaw and Gabe share this facination with nutcrackers. You should see Memaw's collection! So when we saw this bigger than life nutcracker - we had to get Gabe's picture with it!

Selah's Birthday Cake!

We celebrated Selah's birthday on Monday (July 6th) by going to The North Pole (a Christmas Themed amusement park) and then we had Fajitas and birthday cake that evening. Selah LOVED her cake! I got so many cute pictures!! Here are a few:
A princess cake for the birthday princess.

Not quite sure of it yet....

"Ok, I'll give it a try..."

"Hmmm....that cake is pretty good!"

"But the icing is better!"

"Here, Daddy, you try some."

"I think I'll try the plate now!"

"Now there's a party in my tummy!"
