Field Trip #1 of the 2019-2020 School Year

Our first field trip of the school year was to Sharkarosa Wildlife Center.

Sharkarosa is a rare and endangered interactive wildlife ranch. They promise an up close wildlife experience.

A skunk - but don't worry- she can't spray.

Many animals will eat right out of your hands.

The lemurs are always fun.

Faith loved the petting zoo.

And so did Gabe. He wanted to bring a goat home.

This monkey would go from looking depressed to up and running around his cage like a mad man!

Selah really liked the sloths.

This kangaroo had a joey in it's pouch. We could watch as it would stretch and a long foot would poke out!

Sic 'em, Bear!

Have you ever heard of a Bearcat? Me neither. This is what one looks like. It has a long cat-like tail, too.

One of the best things about Sharkarosa is the Safari Tram ride. They take you out to feed and see many fun animals.

My favorites are the zebra - but they also have a zorse (zebra-horse) and a z-donk (zebra donkey).

The camels are always fun, too!

The last thing we did was a barrel ride!

We all loved our day at Sharkarosa! What a great field trip!
