We rang in the New Year in our traditional Serna style - family game night!!
While I cooked stir-fried chicken and rice, the kids sang karaoke!
We ate and then started our Minute-to-Win-it games!
Game 1:
Stack it Up: Players stack 25 pennies in under a minute using only one hand.
Game 2: Scoop it up: Using nothing but a spoon in your mouth, transfer 6 cotton balls from 1 bowl to another in less than a minute.
Faith was pretty good at this!
Game 3: Nut-stacker - Load 5 hex nuts onto a candy cane. Using one hand, stack the nuts on their sides.
Game 4: Countdown Knockdown - this was a repeat from last year...players knock cups down in a clock-wise order using a ball in the foot of a pair of hose worn on their heads.
We just like taking pictures of all of us with the hose on our heads.
Game 5: Breakfast scramble - players put cut cereal boxes back in order - like a puzzle.
We also played Snowball fight. In that game, we use a jumprope as a line across the middle of the room. Each team defends their side by trying to keep all of the snowballs on the other side of the line. At then end of 3 minutes, the team with the least snowballs on their side wins.
At 9:00 we rang in the new year with Argentina. We popped poppers, blew horns, and had a piece of New Year's cake.
Hidden inside our cake is always a trinket. Whoever finds the trinket gets a dollar.
Faith found it!
2015 was a prett awesome year! Some of our favorite moments included
- Faith's first steps
- Selah and Mig bringing home trophies from the AWANA Grand Prix
- Gabe's team earning 2nd place at the Bible Quiz
- Swim lessons
- Daddy's new job

- Selah accepting Christ as her Savior
We can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for us!!!
