Gabe and I sing at the rodeo!!

 

At the end of August Gabe and I had the extreme honor to sing the National Anthem together at the North Texas Fair and Rodeo. 

I  bought a cowboy hat and got Gabe some boots and we were ready!! 

There were thousands of people gathered to watch the bull riding and it was exhilarating to sing such a special song for them!

Play Music on the Porch Day

Play Music on the Porch day is the last Saturday of August every year and we have been participating for quite a few years now! It is fun to work up a song and then perform it together and it seems to bring joy to people that see it on instagram or Facebook. 

This year we did a CAIN song called Come Forth.

Last year we taught the kids an oldie - Blackwater by the Doobie Brothers.

Two years ago Gabe was working and Byron was gone for part of the day - so we did a few smaller group songs. 

This was our second time to participate - we did a hymn medley. 

I hope that even when the kids move out and have their own lives, we can still find time to make music together!
