Meet the Newest DBU Patriot!!

 

Gabriel has made a college decision!! He was accepted at all of the schools that he applied to and was awarded scholarship packages at each one. After a lot of prayer and consideration, he chose Dallas Baptist University!

He will be majoring in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics and get a Legal Studies minor. 

The PPE degree was one of the big factors in choosing DBU! 

The fact that their mascot is a Patriot and the whole campus has nods to our Founding Fathers fits his personality so much!! 

The University is also very conservative and Christ centered. 

A bonus for me is that it is less than a 50 minute drive from our house, so he is staying close to home!!

Congratulations, Gabe!!! We are SO proud of you!

Spring Break 2023

This year for Spring Break we went to one of our favorite RV parks - Pilot Knoll. It is only 30 miles from our house, but still seems like such a vacation! 

We went of a few hikes. 

And were even visited by some special guests.

We went to the hibachi house near the park and saw Jesus Revolution one of the days of Spring Break. 

One day we went to Dallas to visit the 6th Floor Museum where Lee Harvey Oswald was hiding when he shot JFK.

And the Grassy Knoll

Mig really wanted to see the giant eyeball in Dallas and it is a quick walk from the museum, so we went to get a few pictures! It really is huge - for comparison, look at the 2 story building next to it and the 4 story building behind it. 

On our last evening there we grilled hamburgers and invited our friends - The Linns out. 

It was a really fun week!!
