First Day of School 2019-2020

Our first day of school was Wednesday, August 7th. It is hard to believe we are already 6 weeks in to the year! 

Faith is in 2nd Grade this year.

Gabe is now a high schooler! He is a Freshman this year. For the first time ever he is taking classes not taught by me. He is enrolled in a program called Worldview of the Western World. Year one is called "The Bible and Ancient Thought". It is a three year intensive program that covers all of his literature, composition, history, government, fine arts and elective credits. So far he is loving it! 

And he is able to attend with a lot of his friends. 

It is actually a class full of 12 boys! This is the first year their teacher has had an all boys class! 

I think I have the cutest school ever!

This is my 9th year to (officially) be a homeschool teacher!!

Choir Camp 2019

In 2013 our family participated in our first Choir Camp with Denton Bible Church. They performed Simon Says the Musical. Gabriel auditioned at received the part of Simon. 

This year Denton Bible brought back Simon Says for their annual Choir Camp! Mig auditioned and received the part of the Bailiff- the comic relief of the musical. 

Faith was a rocking dancer!

Mig played a mean air guitar, too!

Choir Camp week is always one of our favorite parts of the summer!!

Adoption Reunion Day 3

Day 3 of our 5 year reunion started off with worship! 

Maddox was super excited to take friends to church!

Annette and I thought we should have a picture since we were all dressed up. 

These dresses can easily go from church to the cat walk - right!?!

We love all of our adoption group, but the Vaughn's have become dear friends. We share prayer requests and check in on each other frequently. They are like family to us for sure! 

Our handsome husbands needed pictures, too. 

 Like fathers like sons.

After church we headed over for a picnic in the park. 

 Everyone had a little down time after the picnic -  naps were taken. Then everyone met back up at the Vaughn house for pizza and a pool party!

He melts me!!

At the end of the evening we all said sad good-byes. The kids called each other their China cousins. These families are so precious - they are each really like family to us. 

We plan to meet up for another reunion in 5 more years to celebrate 10 years with our sweet kids in CHINA!!!
